Paradise Run (Homeless work)
Each month Immanuel is involved in helping homeless people in Cardiff City Centre. The "Paradise Run", as it's known, is a really effective ministry of the church, spreading the love of Jesus to those who need it most. To get involved, or for more information, Julie Teagle.
Faith In Action
Immanuel is a community focused church committed to passing on God’s love by offering help to those in need in practical, meaningful ways.
Many of our members already do a tremendous amount of work helping others and much of this is behind the scenes, done quietly and without fuss. But there are bound to be those, whether already associated with Immanuel, or in the wider community, in need and deserving of support who struggle on, reticent to ask for help or not knowing where to turn. Conversely, there are many of us able and keen to offer time and energy to help others, but in need of a channel.
To meet both needs, we have set up a programme called Faith in Action to:
- Identify time and skills available within the church membership;
- Identify needs – within the church and beyond;
- Match supply to demand;
- Co-ordinate the provision of assistance.
