About Immanuel
Immanuel's Mission Statement:
Making God real, relevant and personal to people in Penarth.
What kind of church is Immanuel?
Immanuel was established in 2002 and since then the church has grown quickly with regular attendances at our Sunday morning service averaging around 80.
Immanuel is an evangelical church - that is we believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that getting to know God in a personal relationship is the most important thing in life. Immanuel is an independent church - we don't have a central church council or belong to any national organisation. The church is led by a team of leaders who pastor the church and take decisions based on what the Bible teaches, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Immanuel is a relevant church. We work hard at being friendly and inclusive to everyone who attends our services and activities. We use a variety of styles of music in worship, plan relevant sermon programmes and adopt a generally friendly and informal approach in our services. We are committed to meeting the needs of our community and communicating our faith in a way that speaks to our society.
